Neil Tomlinson

Neil Tomlinson

Position: Director.

Educated at Wath Grammar School, Neil began singing in 1976 at School & after 3 years in management for the John Lewis Partnership Neil became a professional performer with fun band “The Internationals” touring the UK, Europe, Singapore & Malaysia. In 1986 he joined the “Gutterband” & made several TV appearances & toured extensively & successfully.
In 1999 Neil formed Wasis Management Ltd (The Wholesale arm of Act Store).
Neil is a member of the Entertainment Agents' Association & was elected to serve on it's Council in March 2011. In Feb 2013 he was elevated to the position of Executive Vice President & in March 2017 was elected as President for a 2 year term.
Neil's mantra is “Value, Assortment, Service & Honesty” & he believes in old fashioned values of customer service.

Carl Taylor

Carl Taylor

Position:
IT & Design

Carl Taylor has been singing professionally since the age of 13 & received a National Diploma in Performing Arts at Distinction in 1995.
He co-created and performed in many successful shows, namely "Frite Nite Freakshow", "Aria - A Night At The Musicals" & in 2004 "Matinee".
He made his Gilbert & Sullivan debut in 2005 playing Marco in The Gondoliers for the Woodthorpe festival and made his Oratorio debut in John Stainer’s The Crucifixion in Sheffield in 2006.
Carl came to work for our sister company Wasis Management back in 2007 & still performs in various guises most notably as “Carl Taylor as Pavarotti”
Carl brings his vast performing expertise and knowledge of the industry to The Act Store and as a graphic artist designs all of the publicity materials.

Melissa Taylor

Melissa Taylor

Position: Social Media Guru / Design/ Admin.

Melissa left The Dronfield School in 2001 & after training at The Bailey–Cox School of Dance in Sheffield since the age of 10, she moved to Chester to study at The Hammond School of Dance from where she graduated in 2004 with a National Diploma in Professional Dance.
Melissa has a keen interest in music, playing the flute to Grade 8 standard. In 2002 she appeared as solo flautist for a ‘Raise A Note For Cancer’ concert and in 2004 she composed and arranged contemporary dance music for a production called ‘Dance Fusion’.
Melissa currently delivers dance workshops to primary schools across the country. She also taught dance at Barnsley Stagecoach Theatre Arts from 2005-2010 before moving to the Doncaster branch in 2011.
Melissa brings a knowledge & talent for Social media to The Act Store.
